If you travel as much as most of us would like to, then you know that depending on where you go, having the things you need and want to take care of yourself, with is necessary for a comfortable trip whether it be for business or pleasure. Allow me to give you a few ideas of how to make things flow a little smoother.
Basics of Life
We all know that the basics of life are food, water, clothing, and shelter. Not everywhere you travel is going to have all of the above. It may be up to you to provide these items. In some cases, it’s just a matter of providing what you, personally need. Some of us food allergies to keep in mind. For instance, if you are allergic to beans, then a trip to Mexico is going to need a little extra planning. A trip to a third world country may require that your shelter requirements be somewhat less picky and a trip to anywhere around the equator would require you to make sure that you have more access to water as those places tend to be warm year round. Just as a trip to anywhere near the poles would need more winter like clothing.
You are officially on the road again or in the air, whichever you prefer. You realize that you have a long trip ahead. Having entertainment along the way for yourself, much less any children in tow, is essential. Maybe you like your music and you like it loud. If you are driving, just make sure to have your favorite cds, but if you choose to fly, you’ll need to make sure that you bring your headphones, as well. Maybe you enjoy reading. Make sure to bring the books that will take you the furthest away from reality or maybe you just want to rest. Yes, resting can be very entertaining. Bring your favorite blanket and pillow so that you are as comfortable as possible and dream away.
Now most men will simply skip this section. I encourage you not to if you value your skin as much as the ladies. It’s not something we all consider. Most men and some women don’t wear makeup and some of us can’t afford or simply do not have the time for other skin care products, but nonetheless, you should make an effort to take care of your skin, even when you are not traveling. It is the largest organ of the body and is your body’s natural suit of armor. So, when you travel, again, keep in mind where you are going. Are you going to a cold and dry climate, or are you headed somewhere you are going to get dirty and sweat a lot? Adjust accordingly and always drink enough water so that your skin stays hydrated at the very least.
In the end, following these simple guidelines will make any trip run smoother and help you to combat, peacefully, any sour situations that might arise while you are away.
